This year’s AGM and conference was held at a new venue – High Leigh Conference Centre in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire. The Speaker on the first evening, Malcolm Johnstone spoke about the work of the London and Slough Run with a truly inspirational talk. Business of the AGM was conducted on the second morning and before lunch, those who wished to attend the Rosary Walk in the garden met on the terrace at 12.00. and then some members made time to pack bags for PACT.
The afternoon saw us take part in a ‘Fashion Fiesta’ which was great fun. After a break we returned to the conference room to hear The Rt Rev Paul McAleenan who spoke on The Refugee Question. He reminded us, that Jesus himself was a refugee and that all refugees and migrants deserve to be treated with respect and that all people have the right to seek a better life. The Rt Rev Paul McAleenan celebrated Mass with us at 5:30.
