Stations for Creation – Wolverhampton

The Catholic Women’s League of Wolverhampton will be leading Stations of the Cross this Thursday at 12.30pm at St Michael’s RC church, Wolverhampton. Mass is at 12 noon for anyone who wishes to attend that beforehand.

Emphasis is upon linking each station to the plight of our world and praying for global respect and peace.

The theme this year is “Let justice and peace flow” which helps us to navigate a flowing together of the three tributaries of non-violence, justice, and care for creation. It creates a singular river of life-giving water.

At the beginning of this Season of Creation Pope Francis asked us to pray and act.

The Feast of The Exaltation of The Holy Cross falls in the middle of the Season of Creation. So following Our Lord on His way to Calvary seems an appropriate response to help us to meditate upon His Saving Work and upon our call to follow Him.

Refreshments will follow.

The church has a large car park at the rear and is on a bus route from the city centre.
