Dear Siobhan and Jean,
You and a guest are cordially invited to St Michael’s Catholic Church, 173 Coalway Road, Penn. WV3 7ND on Sunday 7th September to join our parishioners and other dignitaries to mark the auspicious occasion of 15-year-old Blessed Carlo Acutis (1991-2006) being canonised and thereby becoming the first millennial saint. The likelihood of another saint from the UK being created in conjunction with being the patron of parish(es) in several generations is almost zero, so this is a unique opportunity for you to be part of history in the making.
Carlo was born in London and lived most of his life in Italy. Two miracles have been attributed to him and subsequently recognised by His Holiness, Pope Francis. This soon-to-be saint is already famous around the world. We are privileged to have a relic of Blessed Carlo housed in the shrine at St Michael’s, which will attract visitors from across the nation to revere.

This letter was sent to National Headquarters inviting Our National President and Secretary to this special occasion.
The assembled congregation will watch the canonisation live from Rome at 9.30am, followed by Holy Mass to be celebrated by Bishop Timothy Menezes. This will be followed by a buffet lunch reception.
